The Future of Packaging Automation: HiFlow’s New AI-Powered ERP Takes the Stage

The world of packaging and label converting is reaching a tipping point where manual administration simply cannot keep up with the speed of production. Addressing this gap, HiFlow Solutions recently unveiled a significant leap forward in operational technology: a comprehensive, AI-powered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system coupled with six specialized AI-enabled workflow platforms. Designed specifically for the label and packaging industry, these tools aim to strip away the burden of repetitive administrative tasks that often bottleneck business growth.

Moving from Vision to Reality at LOUPE 2026

Introduced at the Labels & Outer Packaging Embellishment (LOUPE) 2026 event in Chicago, HiFlow’s new suite of tools marks a transition from theoretical AI potential to practical, everyday application. Mariusz Sosnowski, the CEO of HiFlow Solutions, emphasized that the industry has spent a lot of time talking about what AI might do. With this launch, the conversation shifts to what it is doing right now. According to Sosnowski, the real operational value lies in the AI’s ability to read incoming business information, transform it into usable ERP data, and eliminate the need for manual entry.

Six Key Workflows Redefining Efficiency

The core of this release focuses on six critical administrative areas that traditionally consume hundreds of man-hours. By automating these workflows, HiFlow allows employees to pivot away from data entry and toward high-value strategic work. The six automated platforms include:

  • Estimate Processing: Streamlining the initial stages of job costing.
  • Order Processing: Accelerating the transition from customer request to production floor.
  • Supplier Delivery Processing: Managing the logistics of incoming materials with precision.
  • Supplier Price List Updates: Keeping cost data current without manual updates.
  • Bill of Lading (BOL) Processing: Digitizing shipping documentation automatically.
  • Accounts Payable Processing: Ensuring financial workflows are as fast as the production line.

These workflows are designed to ingest data from various sources—including emails and PDF documents—and structure it directly into the ERP. This means that instead of a staff member re-typing details from a supplier's invoice or a customer's purchase order, the AI handles the heavy lifting, ensuring accuracy and speed.

Addressing the Labor Shortage and Technical Gap

The timing of this release isn't accidental. Alfonso Hernandez, VP of Sales at HiFlow, pointed out a growing crisis in the packaging sector: the loss of institutional knowledge. As industry experts reach retirement age and skilled labor becomes increasingly difficult to source and retain, technology must fill the void. Beyond just administrative work, Hernandez noted that real-time connectivity on the shop floor is vital. The ability to track equipment, substrates, and tools prevents the kind of unplanned downtime that can devastate a converter’s margins.

The Rise of the AI Quote Agent

Perhaps the most innovative feature of the new system is the industry's first AI Quote Agent. This tool moves away from rigid forms and toward a conversational approach to label estimating. Instead of navigating complex menus, users guide the software through job specifications, and the AI Agent builds a comprehensive estimate for final human review. This “Agentic” approach suggests a future where ERP systems do more than just record information; they actively participate in executing the work.

Built for the Multi-Product Reality

During the LOUPE event, many attendees expressed frustration with existing ERP systems that are too rigid to handle business expansion. Steve DeBenedetto, Business Development Manager at HiFlow, observed that modern converters are rarely limited to a single process. Most are multi-product businesses, handling labels, folding cartons, and flexible packaging simultaneously. HiFlow’s platform is built to match this reality, offering the flexibility needed for companies that operate across different segments of the packaging world.

FTTH Network Design

Fiber network designs you can actually rely on.

We handle the heavy lifting. From local surveys in Java & Medan to detailed FTTH grid designs, we make sure your network makes sense.

With over 26 years of experience in the industry, HiFlow Solutions is positioning itself as a leader in the transition to intelligent manufacturing.
