According to Kizilbash, these initiatives are part of a broader mission to build an innovation community that solidifies Southeast Asia’s reputation as a trusted center for AI solutions. A Strategic Corridor to Silicon Valley
This isn't a solo mission by Google. The program was unveiled as part of an expanded collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia (Komdigi), alongside Enterprise Singapore, the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), and the Startup and Innovation Hub Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB). Together, they are forming an AI startup innovation corridor that connects Southeast Asia directly to the heart of Silicon Valley.
Veronica Utami, Country Director of Google Indonesia, noted that local startups have already begun making waves with AI. She believes that the collaboration with Komdigi will provide Indonesian founders with much-needed access to world-class technological resources and global tech hubs. The goal is clear: to empower local founders to build and scale solutions that address national priorities and the diverse needs of the Indonesian population.
Local Success Stories: AI in Action
Google has already identified several Indonesian startups that are successfully utilizing AI to solve complex challenges in education, agriculture, and healthcare.
In the education sector, Analitica has developed an adaptive AI tutor that has supported over 200,000 students. In agriculture, DayaTani is leveraging agronomic AI agents to provide real-time guidance to farmers, helping them optimize crop yields. Meanwhile, in the healthcare space, Nexmedis is revolutionizing doctor-patient interactions with AI-driven diagnostic recommendations and consultation transcriptions, which is particularly vital for improving medical services in remote areas.

What the Program Offers: More Than Just Mentorship
The first cohort of the program is currently open for applications, with 25 selected startups set to undergo a three-month intensive, equity-free journey starting in August 2026. The crown jewel of this program is an intensive residency in California. Founders won't just learn from afar; they will receive hands-on mentorship at Google’s campuses in Mountain View and San Francisco.
Furthermore, participants will gain access to the elite venture capital networks of Sand Hill Road and Palo Alto—the epicenter of global startup funding. On the technical side, the perks are equally impressive: up to US$350,000 in Google Cloud credits, early access to the latest Gemini AI models, and specialized technical support in agentic AI, large language model operations (LLMOps), and multi-agent system development.

Since 2018, the Google for Startups Accelerator has supported over 200 early-stage startups in the region, which have collectively raised US$6.6 billion in funding and created over 11,300 jobs.
